Dr. Tran is a board-certified pediatric gastroenterologist and medical educator dedicated to advancing patient care and physician development. He currently serves as a Pediatric Gastroenterologist and Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine, practicing at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Tran earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completed his residency in Pediatrics at the University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School. He then completed a fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at Baylor College of Medicine.
Passionate about mentorship and innovation in medical education, Dr. Tran serves as a clerkship co-director, clinical skills preceptor, and mentor, focusing on empowering learners to take ownership of their growth. Clinically, he specializes in high-value pediatric GI care, including sedation-free transnasal endoscopy and multidisciplinary management of GI cancer predisposition and polyposis conditions.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Tran enjoys speaking on topics such as feedback, growth mindset, and medical education leadership. He lives in Houston, Texas.
