The Association of Black Family Medicine Physicians was founded in 2020 to foster community and support for Black medical students and residents pursuing Family Medicine, a specialty in which Black physicians represent only 7.8% of residents. ABFMP guides aspiring and current Black Family Medicine physicians through professional growth, community connection, and advocacy for the health of Black communities. Doc2Doc partners with ABFMP to deliver financial education and personal loans to providers building careers at the intersection of underrepresented medicine and community health.
